Bridal Rings
Can a engagement ring be added onto and used as a wedding (bridal) ring?
Apparently an engagement ring isn’t enough. Now I need to buy a Bridal Set as well?! We don’t have a ton of money and my GF really isn’t into spending a ton of money on rings either, but I’m just wondering what the norm is. Please help.
I have my engagement ring and my curved wedding band will fit perfectly snugly around it.
Traditionally, yes, the engagement ring is “added on to” with a wedding band that somewhat matches to engagement ring.
The bridal set that you speak of is two rings, purchased together. One is used as an engagement ring and the other is the wedding band. Like this:

In the picture in the link, the top ring would be the engagement ring and the bottom one would be the wedding band. The two together are the bridal set.
Since you already have an engagement ring, you only need to get a wedding band. You can find these ranging in price any where from $50 to a whole lot more. My suggestion would be to go shopping with your fiancee so she can help pick out her own wedding band.
